She focuses on household chores to care for her family. Sometimes, she sells tamales and fried potatoes to help with the family’s finances. She learned about the project through her church and, trusting in God, she signed up, hoping to be blessed.
She feels very happy to have been selected for the program, as her hope is that next winter, she won’t have to worry about getting wet anymore. She is also thrilled because in her community, she has seen some of the houses that have already been built, and she says she loves them and dreams of having her own one day.
