Jose has a physical disability resulting from a car accident that occurred 12 years ago. During the accident, he was severely injured when his spine was impacted by a concrete structure, causing a fracture in his spinal cord, which left him in a wheelchair. He had recently undergone surgery for an ulcer on his glutes, caused by prolonged sitting in his wheelchair. He is also scheduled for surgery to address a hernia.
