He can no longer work because he can’t be exposed to the sun, although he used to work outdoors frequently, often in construction. He now has to undergo dialysis at home—a treatment that lasts four hours—and has suffered greatly because of it. His wife (Fatima), the beneficiary of the house, works in a pharmacy, where she has been employed for four years, and she is now the sole provider for their children.

Their house was improvised; they used to live in a block house, but they were asked to leave. The wood they have used is not of good quality, and the roofing material is also inadequate. Sometimes their house floods, but only when it rains heavily.
