Getting Started as a Shelter Team Leader

Step 1

To become a Shelter Team Leader you need the following requirements:

  1. You have travelled to El Salvador on at least one prior Shelter trip

  2. You agree with Shelter’s Mission, Vision and Statement of Faith

  3. You are willing to submit to a Vulnerable Sector Check

  4. You are ready to learn and grow as you serve Shelter (and have a lot of fun in the process!)

Step 2

Click on the button below to fill out your application to be a Shelter Team Leader. Once submitted, we will review your responses and contact you.

 Step 3

By clicking the button you will access the schedule of team weeks available for 2025. Use the approximate number of team members that you plan to travel with as a guide to determine the week that will work best for your team. Then email us at carie.mcalliste@shelterhelps com to schedule your team.

Click on the button below to access a variety of resources that will help you as you form and prepare your team.
