Each year we go down to El Salvador, some of us for the first time and others have gone so many times we’ve lost count. But every year we come back having witnessed change. It is such a privilege to be a part of physically changing a family's life through the provision of a home, knowing that this security of a home has the power to affect the family in significant ways for generations. We see change relationally as we meet the Salvadorians as strangers but leave as new friends. Most importantly we see change spiritually. In each community Shelter enters the gospel is spread, and with each home that is built God's love is shared. And lastly, we see change in our own lives. We learn by example from the Salvadorians what it means to find joy and strength in the Lord instead of our circumstances. Our eyes are opened to see what it means to be the hands and feet of Jesus and the blessing that follows when we obey his calling. We go down to El Salvador to bring change but come home having been changed.

Whether you feel called to join a Shelter team, to give financially or to support us in prayer we encourage you to be part of the change that God is doing here on Earth.
